The Fall season is such a great time to cozy up and practice self-care!
The fact that it’s a cooler season (very cold for some 😆) and the days are shorter, self-care is crucial and much needed.
You should routinely implement activities this Fall that will help you feel relaxed.
Here are 4 self-care ideas you can try out this Fall!
1. Create a Cozy Atmosphere
During Fall, it’s a good idea to set the tone for a comfortable environment to have a warm and positive atmosphere as the days get shorter.
Having things like aromatherapy in your space can cause you to feel uplifted. It’s a simple addition that will engage your senses.
Try out different scents and figure out which one(s) you like the best. Go with the scents that make you feel the most calm and happy.
You can even experiment with mixing scents to create a concoction of your favorites. Hey, you can even give your tailored scent a cool name 😁!
It’s always nice to get into the fall spirit and add some Fall scents to the air such as pumpkin, snickerdoodle, apple, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.
Here’s a diffuser option you can look into. This one is an essential oil diffuser and humidifier with lights. I have one in my bedroom and it’s really soothing. I love to have it on before bed!
This diffuser option is pretty nice as well. It’s the one where the essential oil gets diffused through sticks. I have one sitting in my bathroom. These give off a milder scent, but they are very pleasant.
All of these options are great! Just be sure to read descriptions and reviews to choose the best fit for you.
You can even make a DIY diffuser if you’d prefer. Check out this video to see how!
2. Try New Drinks
When Fall hits, we tend to start drinking more hot beverages, whether it’s coffee, lattes, cappuccino, tea, or hot chocolate.
And, as we should, because they help keep us warm as the weather gets cooler, provide a sense of comfort, and, of course, our taste buds love them!
So many new and signature drinks roll out during this time and let’s be honest, some of them are no good. But some are pretty delicious!
Take a step back from your go-to drinks and try something new! It doesn’t have to be the signature or trending drinks; it can just be a new concoction that you come up with.
So, when you go to your coffee spot, you can order your regular choice of drink and add a few of your favorite flavors to it and top it off with some cold foam for extra flavor.
For example, I love white chocolate mocha! The way I would enhance this drink is by adding 2 pumps of hazelnut syrup, add sweet cream foam, and caramel drizzle.
Also, don’t be afraid to try making your own hot beverages from home with a few of your favorite ingredients!
If you’re on the go and taking your drink with you, a thermos bottle is a great way to keep your drink hot for up to 24 hours!
You can find many videos for drink inspiration.
3. Make a Simmer Pot
Making a simmer pot is such a satisfying experience. You just place a pot on your stove, add different herbs, spices, and fruit, and let it simmer on the lowest heat setting.
You can let your potpourri (another name used for simmer pots) simmer for a few hours, just keep an eye on it to make sure the water isn’t running too low, and nothing is burning.
Also, you can add essential oils and/ or natural flavors such as vanilla extract to enhance the scent.
For example, you can add sliced oranges, sage, cinnamon, and gingerbread essential oil to your pot for a nice Fall aroma.
Your home will smell so divine with this natural fragrance, and it will put you in both a cheerful and peaceful mood.

4. Give Yourself a Warm Foot Bath
If you’ve ever gotten a pedicure or foot massage, then you know how relaxing this experience can be. It helps release tension, it’s soothing, and it makes your feet softer and smoother.
As the weather gets colder, sometimes we don’t enjoy having to go back out into the cold after having our feet soaked in water.
Occasionally, it would be much more relaxing to cozy up with a book or movie in your own home while enjoying a foot spa.
And guess what? There are so many things you can do from the comfort of your home now and this is one 😁! The foot soakers have been updated from a few years ago, and they provide a more spa-like experience.
This is a nice foot bath that you can try out. It has settings for heat, bubbles, and massage. It includes a remote and is collapsible, which is great for storage because, of course we love an organized space 😄!
Also, you can simply use a big bowl and fill it with enough warm water to submerge your feet. You won’t have that “bubble jet” and massage experience but it’s still a nice way to soak your feet.
With both options you can add bubbles, essential oils, Epsom salt, flower petals, and even fruit such as orange slices to your foot baths.
Try this out the next time you’re wanting a pedicure or massage, and feel free to comment and let me know how you enjoy it!
I hope you found these tips helpful! Stay healthy and happy this Fall season😌! Peace.
