Christmas is a joyous time of year to be with family and friends! It is a time to gather in love and spread cheer.
It’s also a time we choose to give gifts! This is exciting but it can also be overwhelming.
Our daily lives can get chaotic throughout the year and December is definitely a busy month so sometimes we end up having to do some last minute shopping.
It can be difficult trying to figure out what to get when shipping times are longer, and items are out of stock.
And sometimes we simply just don’t know what to get!
Well no worries, here are 6 last minute self-care Christmas gift ideas you can grab that anyone is sure to love!
1. Relaxing App Subscriptions
Purchasing an app subscription is such a cool idea for someone who enjoys self-care or is in need of it. There are so many app options for relaxation.
There are apps with visualizations, stories, guided meditations, music, challenges, podcasts, and much more!
Some great apps for self-care practices are Insight Timer, Calm, Fabulous, BetterSleep, and Oak- Meditation & Breathing.
Look through these app descriptions on your phone and decide which one you’d like to purchase for someone.
Also, if you know anyone who deals with chronic pain, the Curable app is great! It deals with helping to provide both relaxation and healing!
2. Wellness Sessions
A few sessions of a wellness activity is an interesting gift that anyone would appreciate!
There are so many different ones that you can choose from, and here are 2 options you can consider.
Option 1: Float Therapy is a practice that is done in a float tank or isolation tank with an elimination of light and sound for a calmer mind.
The tank is filled with warm water and Epsom salt so that one can float effortlessly.
Studies show that this form of therapy can decrease anxiety and stress, relieve muscle tension, and reduce aches and pains.
Option 2: Yoga is a meditative practice that involves concentration, deep breathing, and stretching into many poses.
It has so many benefits; it can help relieve stress, reduce anxiety, improve mental health, reduce inflammation and so much more!
3. Self-Care Gift Box/ Basket
A gift box is such a heartfelt gesture! You can add so many different items for one to enjoy.
Gift boxes can be purchased from sites like Etsy or you can simply put your own box together.
If you decide to do one yourself you can add their favorite things or some essential self-care items.
You could include things like candles (crackling wood wick candles are cozy), bubble bath, a mug, tea, honey, gourmet chocolate, and essential oils.
Adding something interesting to the box would be cool, such as a surprise bath bomb. Surprise bath bombs have things like rings inside.
Books are great to include as well. You can add something like 101 Ways to be Less Stressed by Dr. Caroline Leaf or Book of Good Advice.
Also, consider throwing in a relaxing gadget such as a white noise machine, neck massager, or the CalmiGo.
4. Gift Cards/ Gift Certificates
Now I know some people may not see gift cards and certificates as a gift but they are really great to give!
They allow for shopping or receiving a service for free or at least takes a portion away from what has to be paid.
You can get someone a gift card to their favorite store to have a little retail therapy or to a restaurant to have a nice meal.
Also, you can get a gift card or certificate for a massage, a facial, a manicure and pedicure, or a head spa.
They will be so grateful because there’s nothing more relaxing than being pampered!
5. In-Home Services
In-home Services are a great gift option for those who could use a bit of a break. These are not only helpful but they also make one feel pampered!
One of these options is a cleaning service. Cleaning can be tedious and sometimes feel very overwhelming.
It would be nice to sit back and allow a professional housekeeper to take care of that task and I know it would be so appreciated!
Another option is a food service. Now you can either order them a box of meals from a company like Hello Fresh or you can hire a chef.
I must say, the latter sounds much more fascinating! I’m sure they will light up at the fact they will have a chef for 2 days (or however many days you choose LOL)!
6. Wellness Stay-cation
OK, who wouldn’t enjoy a couple of nights of rest in a nice hotel or Airbnb?! This is a great option for those who need some quiet time.
Many people work so many hours, have children to care for, constant events to attend, and so many other obligations.
Sometimes all one wants is a night or two of rest and relaxation. To just decompress with a nice bath and lye in bed with fresh sheets.
This gift would definitely make someone happy because peace, even if its just for a little while, is all the gift one needs!
Airbnb and many hotels offer gift cards so you can just put the amount of 1 night stay or however many days you want to add!
Let me know which one of these ideas you decided to go with! Have a wonderful holiday!
